Joined in MIlwaukee 11/7/1863.
He was mustered into the 35th at Camp Washburn in Wisconsin.
He went south on steamboat Maria Denning to Port Hudson, LA.
Apparently participated in manuevers in this area, then went
to hospital ship at Morganzia, LA., and later barracks hospital
in New Orleans with Diarrhea.
His unit shipped to mouth of White River and then DeValls Bluff to join
the Arkansas Campaign.
He died before they left.
Pension files show he was a carpenter in Saxony.
Enlistment also shows occupation as carpenter.
He was 5' 9" tall with Brown hair and eyes and a fair complexion.
