Our family tradition remembers Alvina "Skudera" as the surname of the wife of Ignatz Pavlat.

However, early in my work with a Bohemian researcher regarding our family in Plzen, she began to return the name as "Skundera". I accepted this correction and many of the entries for this branch reflected that change.

As research in Plzen wound down our researcher volunteered the following: About Skunderas and Skuderas: I must say that it was only my mistake. We had a writer whose name was Skundera. Surname of Skudera I have never heard until you come. Hand writing surname of Skudera and Skundera is very similar. Sorry if I did you some trouble with it. I check the Skudera surname and this surname came from the Kralovice and Plzen districts

As a result I have reverted all the Skundera names to Skudera in my database.
