I am expanding "STORY: Evidence for Linda" into this Brick Wall story because the research
has not yielded to basic methods.
The original story is included below in its most recently published form.
Adoptions are Privacy Protected documents, and we would not know most of that reported below were it not for the fortunate contact with parties having legal standing. |
STORY: Evidence for LindaKaren Petti (Dorothy's older daughter) told her daughter - Penny Brown - that she had been told by Victoria Jacobson of the existance of her brother Robert and her sister Linda. Karen Petti also told her daughter that, when Linda was dying, the adoption agency contacted the adoptive mother of Karen (Viola Petti) to offer to arrange for Karen to visit Linda while she was still alive, and Viola decided not to accept the offer. I think that this information is strong evidence that Linda did exist, and that she died at an early age. I think that the involvment of the adoption agency and the lack of any birth or death record in Connecticut under Linda's birth name, is strong evidence that Linda had been adopted (as had her two older siblings). A search for a death record matching the info above did produce a match that I think is promising: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
