In the 1900 census, Fred and Glennie are listed with the moher as "Rose", which would still be her married name. I initially showed them as children of James Preston Rose. Now, with the genealogy found by Shawn Moncure - "Teacheys of Wayne and Greene Counties" - I have elected to change their father to Joseph Teachey. On the death records of both Fred and Glennie, the father was listed as Joseph Teacher!

I look forward to finding out what happened to James Rose, and also to what parentage is claimed by the earlier children. Do they retain the Rose name in later years or do they convert to Teachey?
