There are many genealogies around that use 1901JUN04 for the death of James Davis. I found the original image and I doubt that it is our Davis. Note that his place of birth is recorded as "Camden, NJ" and that he is buried in NJ. He also died at a veterans hospital - and that does not seem likely for our James.
