Leonhard was single in 1860 census, absent in 1870 census, and in his second marriage in 1880. Mary Heinemann had at least three children with Leonhard, as recorded in 1880, and she probably died in 1872-73, given her last child and his next marriage. I have found no census record for her in 1860. I found no birth or marriage records referring to her in Fond du Lac. (It is not clear if I have searched Sheboygan.) I have found no info on Ancestry or FamilySearch.

A small reward for any help, I give up for now!

Second Version: I found the name Mary Heinemann in one place - the birth record of daughter Catherine. Her parentage of two earlier children is inferred - mother is "unknown" on their death records. Fourth child, Joseph, has mother Mary Gunther, as do all subsequent Reinwand children. No marriage or death found for her. No 1870 census records found for this family.

It is not cost effective for me to pursue this at this time, so I am parking these events in Brick Wall status. Catherine is a backbone ancestor, so Mary should be re-visited once we change focus to these events.
