June 17 obituaries . . . Ryan Trusz Spencer Ryan Trusz, 25, died of brain cancer June 15 at his home in Glen Burnie. Born July 24, 1979, in Memphis, Tenn., Mr. Trusz lived in this area since 1989, graduating from Old Mill High School and studying history and computer science at the University of Maryland at the College Park and Baltimore County campuses. He attended the Unitarian Universalist Church of Annapolis. He enjoyed cooking, bread making, working with computers and designing Web sites, ancient history, golf and reading, particularly science fiction and fantasy works. An avid Star Trek fan, he enjoyed receiving a recent telephone call from the television series star William Shatner. Surviving are his parents, Andrew Trusz and Sandra Parks-Trusz, and his sister, Nicole Perkarske, all of Glen Burnie; and his grandmother, Doris Parks of Hudson, Fla. A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 333 Dubois Road. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Scenic Rivers Land Trust, P.O. Box 2008, Annapolis, MD 21404, or to the Palliative Care Unit, University of Maryland Medical Center, 22 S. Greene St., Baltimore, MD 21201.
